Texas Man Brings Home 600-Pound Boar From Hunt

For most people, the idea of traveling for hours just to kill a wild boar is absurd. But for Terry Harrison, it was a dream come true.

Harrison, from Texas, has been hunting wild boars since he was a young boy. And this week, he finally realized his longtime dream of bringing one home.

The 600-pound hog was shot and killed on a hunting excursion in Alabama. Harrison and his friends spent hours tracking the animal before taking it down.

"It was a pretty good size," Harrison said of the boar. "I'm glad I got him."

Boars can be dangerous animals, so hunting them is not without risk. But Harrison says the experience was well worth it.

"It's really a challenging animal to hunt," he said. "But when you finally get him down, it's really rewarding."

Wild Boars On The Loose In Central Florida
